Denise Ofelia Mangen is a Gates Millennium Scholar and a doctoral candidate in Educational Communication and Technology at New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development. She teaches photography and media literacy & production and has held various positions on projects for organizations such as National Geographic, the International Center of Photography, The Raw File, Against All Odds Productions, and UNICEF. She received a MA in Media Ecology from New York University in 2007 and a BS in Visual Communication from Ohio University in 2004. Currently, she is coordinating the Intermedia Project for Man Up, a global campaign to eradicate gender based violence.
